  14.      The following is the McAfee Associates VIRUS CHARACTERISTIC chart
  15.  the comes with every VIRUSCAN program.  This list is for version 93 of
  16.  SCAN.  Please note, this information is copyrighted by McAfee Associates
  17.  and all rights are reserved.

  19.      The virus names are on the left side.  Please note the if you ran
  20.  Scan and you see a name like [7S] that name is listed below in its full
  21.  title as 'The SEVENTH SON' virus.
  22.  
  23.      To remove one of the listed viruses below, you may use the /D option
  24.  which overwrites and deletes the infected file, but CLEAN 93 was made
  25.  to also do this and recover the infected data.  NEXT WEEK we will discuss
  26.  CLEAN (the counterpart and partner of SCAN) in more detail.

  28.      If you use the SCAN /D option, please note that this will DELETE the
  29.  infected file.  In short, if you get a virus that has invaded your
  30.  COMMAND.COM file, you're going to have to REPLACE that file from your
  31.  original DOS diskette or your computer probably won't reboot!

  42. IBM  PC  and  compatible virus strains identified by  SCAN.   The  number
  43. of  known  variants of each virus is also listed.  This number is  listed
  44. in  parenthesis  beside  the name of the  strain.   The total  number  of
  45. known  viruses is summed at the end of the list.  The Clean-Up virus I.D.
  46. code is included in brackets.
